Enjoy the Great Outdoors at Lake Fayetteville

Created by Lake Fayetteville Dam in 1949, Lake Fayetteville includes 194 acres of water and 458 acres of land. Whether you enjoy fishing, boating, trail running or just being outdoors, Lake Fayetteville has something for you and is within a close distance of our apartments near University of arkansas.

Bike Rentals

If you don’t have a bike or would like to try out a new bike, Lake Fayetteville Boat and Bike rents out paved-trail bikes, full suspension mountain bikes, trikes and more. While these bikes are not restricted to the Lake Fayetteville trails, they must be returned to the rental office at the appointed time. Rates vary based on the type of bike you want to rent, but there are 1-hour, 4-hour and 8-hour rental options available for all kinds of bikes.

Boat Rentals

Boats and trailers are also available for rent at Lake Fayetteville Boat and Bike. The rental includes paddles and life jackets and there is a 1-hour minimum requirement with 4-hour and 8-hour options available. To reserve your rental, half of the deposit is required, but your rental will be available for you when you are ready for it. A credit card and photo ID are required for all rentals. Boats available for rental include single kayaks, double kayaks, pedal boats, canoes and several types of motorized fishing boats.


Lake Fayetteville has been stocked with many species of freshwater fish since its inception. To obtain a city permit to fish on Lake Fayetteville, you must have a valid Arkansas State Fishing License, which can be purchased online or at Southtown Sporting Goods. The lake also has a tackle shop which rents fishing poles for $5 per day and sells tackles, hooks and the kind of bait you need to catch the biggest fish in the lake.
